During the visit, participants explore various areas of the farm, starting with the chicken coop, where they learn about raising hens. They will also visit the vegetable garden, where the sustainable farming method Parades en Crestall is taught.
In the barn, children can interact with a variety of animals, including adorable rabbits —such as the Flemish Giant, one of the world’s largest breeds. They can also see rabbits that have recently given birth, meet Antonio the donkey, Assaf sheep, pygmy goats, and the piglets Peggy and Chan.
The experience continues in the meadow, where they’ll meet ponies Thor and Oddin, and Ultzama the mare, who is soon to be a mom. You’ll also find donkeys Ali and Roke, the donkey Pili, Dexter cows, and Chinese geese —all ready to welcome visitors. If the weather isn’t good, the animals will be inside the barn so they can still be seen and petted. Don’t forget to bring dry bread or fruit you won’t eat —the animals will love the treat!
If you visit the farm school, don’t miss the Hotel Restaurante Venta de Ultzama, where you’ll find a cozy restaurant for a delicious meal and a welcoming hotel for a good night’s sleep. There are also hostal and other accommodation options to enjoy a complete stay in the Ultzama Valley. We look forward to welcoming you!
