Plazaola Greenway

The Plazaola Greenway is a former railway route transformed into an ideal trail for nature lovers, hikers, and cyclists. For forty years, the Plazaola train connected the cities of San Sebastián and Pamplona, but after closing to passenger service in 1953 and freight in 1958, the route fell into disuse. Today, 75 kilometers of this historic path have been restored as a greenway, winding through lush beech and oak forests and offering stunning scenery such as the Larraun and Leitzaran valleys.

After a day of activity on the Plazaola Greenway, there’s nothing better than relaxing at the Hotel Restaurante Venta de Ultzama, the ideal place to sleep and rest surrounded by nature. If you're looking for a restaurant to eat and enjoy authentic local cuisine, Venta de Ultzama serves delicious homemade dishes. This hostel is perfect for those seeking comfortable accommodation after the route. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in the area, Hotel Venta de Ultzama offers a unique experience, ideal for recharging your energy and continuing to explore the region’s charms.
