Ezkurdi Beekeeping House-Museum

If you’ve decided to disconnect and escape to the peaceful corners of the Ultzama Valley, we invite you to visit one of the sweetest houses in Navarre: the Ezkurdi Beekeeping House-Museum.

Located in the village of Eltso, near the ancient Orgi Oak Forest, this charming family home showcases the traditional popular architecture of the region.

Isabel Tellería offers you a fascinating opportunity to delve into the world of bees and the art of beekeeping. At the museum, you’ll visit the beekeeping lab and learn about the life of bees and the honey-making process inside the hive. Isabel will also demonstrate how she extracts and decants honey from her own hives, giving you an authentic insight into this tradition.

On the upper floor, an interesting exhibition will guide you through the history of beekeeping and highlight the vital role of pollinators in our ecosystem.

Visitors will also have the chance to purchase raw artisan honeys from various local blossoms, as well as products made from the hive, including honey jam, chocolates, soaps, creams, candles, and other items like propolis, pollen, wax, and royal jelly.

Don’t forget to complete your visit to the Ezkurdi House-Museum with a stay at the Hotel Restaurante Venta de Ultzama, where you’ll find an excellent restaurant for your meals and a cozy hotel to rest. We also offer hostal and other accommodation options to make your getaway even more memorable. We look forward to welcoming you!
